Bass Pro Shops Bionic Blade XPS Micro Guide Trigger Rod 4.6 5 11 11
nice rod i bought the 7ft heavy rod and im happy with it. Seems very sturdy and sensitive. A little heavier than some of my other 7ft rods but its balance is good and i love the butt end, its not too long. i'd fill my boat with these rods if i could. March 28, 2014
Bionic Blade Micro-guide Rod Review I have the medium-heavy rod with the pro qualifier reel and the sensitivity on it is great as it is a fairly stiff and extremely light rod. The micro-guides make for a very accurate cast however they are sort of flimsy. If you hit the rod off just about anything some of them will bend over, however they are easy to bend back and none have broken yet so maybe that's the way its supposed to be. Also, I would recommend trying the medium rather than the medium-heavy to get more casting distance as the medium heavy doesn't have much whip to it which makes sense. All around great bait casting rod to fish many hours in a day if paired with a decent reel like the bass pro shops pro qualifier. August 19, 2013
Action is a little soft I purchased this rod and have used it 6 times. I originally purchased the rod to serve as a soft plastic rod for heavier soft plastic and jigs. The rod i purchased was a 7 foot Medium-Heavy fast action rod. Therod has good backbone, but the action is more like a mod-fast action. It wasnt really what i was expecting. I think it serves well for fishing spinnerbaits and topwaters, but cant use it for what i purchased it for. I will probably stick with the carbonlite next time for my bottom dragging lures. I am sure the heavy version is a little better for what i needed but I will probably just spend the extra money for the better rod. I would only reccomend this rod for moving type lures. I know i could take this rod back and upgrade but i have a use for it. Bass pro has top quality customer service. July 24, 2013
Fantastic deal for the money I went into buy a Carbon lite for top water and left with a Bionic Blade. I bought the 6'6'' medium heavy with a fast action, but the action is more like a moderate action and when trying walk the dog it only moves inches at a time not feet. It is also sensitive enough to feel a fish on the other end and is light so that it won't wear you out. I will buy more of these. April 2, 2013

A:
A 7' Medium Heavy would be a good choice for a rod for using multiple baits. The curado is a good choice for any rod IMO. It's a very nice reel.

Yes this rod is good for multiple baits and the Shimano Curado would be a good match for this rod.

A:
micro guides are not the best for heavy braid like that, it can tend to get kind of hung up in the guides. A rod with regular sized guides would be a better choice for heavier braid.
