  • IM8 blank with ArmorCore Technology
  • Two-piece reel seat
Our Bionic Blade XPS Micro Guide Trigger Rods are engineered for sensitivity and feature Pacific Bay Micro Guides for smooth casting and virtually friction-free line flow. The revolutionary IM8 blank is created with our innovative ArmorCore Technology—a stronger-than-steel aramid fiber core that is wrapped with ultra-light, super-powerful IM8 graphite to make this one of the most powerful, lightweight rods you'll ever fish. EVA split grips add to your control and fishing comfort. Once you go bionic, you'll never go back!
Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 9 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by nice rod i bought the 7ft heavy rod and im happy with it. Seems very sturdy and sensitive. A little heavier than some of my other 7ft rods but its balance is good and i love the butt end, its not too long. i'd fill my boat with these rods if i could. March 28, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome ROD I purchased the 7 foot m h and wow was I surprised! It performed flawless and better than some of my high dollar rods. It won't be my last bionic rod you can bet on that! March 1, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Bionic Blade Micro-guide Rod Review I have the medium-heavy rod with the pro qualifier reel and the sensitivity on it is great as it is a fairly stiff and extremely light rod. The micro-guides make for a very accurate cast however they are sort of flimsy. If you hit the rod off just about anything some of them will bend over, however they are easy to bend back and none have broken yet so maybe that's the way its supposed to be. Also, I would recommend trying the medium rather than the medium-heavy to get more casting distance as the medium heavy doesn't have much whip to it which makes sense. All around great bait casting rod to fish many hours in a day if paired with a decent reel like the bass pro shops pro qualifier. August 19, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Excellent Rod Can't say for sure whether it was due to the careless shipping of the carrier, as the rod tube was crushed and split upon delivery, but the rod appeared in perfect condition. The first time fishing the 7' MH action, two of the central guide inserts popped out of the metal ring band. Not too pleased with the PacBay Micro guides as they are very flimsy and bend easily. Fixed that problem the very next day when I picked up a new set of Fuji micro guides which in my opinion are far better constructed. After changing out all the guides and waiting patiently for the epoxy finish to finish curing I was back out on the water two days later. The rod is wonderful! Beautiful blank. Light weight rod and VERY sensitive. The rest of the rod is beautifully constructed and a dream to fish with. Would have given it a straight 5 except for the guide problems I had. July 24, 2013
