Just like other members of our Z9R family, the slow-sinking Billed Mini-Z9R produces a wild, unstoppable action that brings bass charging. The Z9R's diving lip creates a distinct wobble, which only accentuates the swimming action of the multi-jointed tail section. The bristle fins offer a one-of-a-kind texture. Swing for the fences!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Lipped Vs Lipless I tested the mini Z9R (lipped and lipless) vs the KickTail as seen on TV. The Z9R lipped has a lot of action but the frequency of the side to side wobbles are about twice that of the KickTail. The unlipped is worthless. Don't waste your money!!! It tracks perfectly straight even after I took off the rear treble hook. I can't believe they would even market the lipless version as a swim bait. March 3, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by Here is a little trick! Bought one today and its swimming action was good. I took off the rear hook and the swimming action DOUBLED! With the rear hook off you get a perfect S motion at very slow speeds. You're not going to believe how real this little thing looks in the water. Its so small one belly hook is all you need. Casting was good also. I threw it on spinning outfit. It weighs almost 1/2 ounce. January 28, 2010
Rated 1 out of 5 by Unsure? I own the larger version also. The larger has more action also the with the jr I'm unsure of the weight. This cast like an 1/8oz. However, action is ok at best, cast horrible. January 26, 2010

If reeled in fast, 1-2ft. If reeled in slow, mine has sunk to 5ft and lower.

Maybe 4 feet on 8 lb mono. The angle of the lip is not designed for depth.

A:
I found it to touch bottom at around 8-10 feet. It also tends to sink pretty good for a light lure.
