I have never really fished tubes, but this thing is a great downsized tube for when the bite is not so hot on the bigger tubes. The action and durability is great, you get a lot per pack and they are easy to rig.

This is an amazing tube that really catches fish if you find the right spot. There is only one thing thats actually not good about it, which is that it's a little too thick but overall, a GREAT product.

I'm looking to add several colors of these to my arsenal but I'm not sold any one color and its hard to get a feel for the color without having them in your hand.

green pumpkin melon pep ,green pumpkin red shad, smoke blue shiner or smoke black red flake covers my needs for most waters in the northeast.A:Â
I would recommend the Watermelon Candy tubes, and the Green pumpkin blue. The Candy is a lot brighter and not nearly as dark as the Green pumpkin but they both work great and are very durable.I hope this helped!

Had luck with dark green colors in clear water and white or lighter colors in murky water.A:Â
Try the puke color if available...I had great luck with it with largemouth bass.A:Â
Black with red flake is my favorite color. Another one that has worked very well is the all blue body with a slightly less blue to white skirt.Details:Â
I bought some of these tubes along with some 1/8oz bass pro xps tender tube jig heads. It seems like the 3/0 hooks are rather large for these tubes. I also have some 1/8 oz ball jigheads with size 1 hooks, and they seem too small.Any suggestions? Thanks!
Note: I used these tubes in a small creek with good results! But It seemed like i could not get a very good hookset and lost a few. I think this is because of the hook sizes or possibly my technique.

i share your sentiment on this bait. i rig these up with a 1/0 gamakatsu ewg hook (texas-rigged) ...insert the hook at the top approx. 1/8" and straight out the side. i go through the tenacles vs. the body. i put an unpegged 3/16 oz tungsten weight above it. i hope this helps. don't forget to set the hook on a slack line to maximize the hookset.A:Â
try using these tubes with a 2/0 tube jig and you should have better luckA:Â

1 or 1/0 EWG worm hook Texas-rigged weedless. Use an internal Lindy EZ tube weight to help casting distance.A:Â
I have gone to rigging these texas style with a bullet weight ahead of the tube and used a 2/0 or 3/0 hook and skin hooking the point into the top of the bait. Give that a try and see if that helps.A:Â
There is a 1/16 oz tube jighead here on BassProShops that has a larger hook than the 1/8 oz. I bought both sizes and was surprised that the 1/8 oz hook is smaller. I used the 1/16 oz with the puke color and caught largemouth bass with it.Details:Â

When using these tubes, I would use a 2/0 EWG hook with a bullet weight or a jig hook that has a weight on the hook. For the bullet weight you should do a texas rig and if you use the jig hook you should slide it up the tube and poke the eye through. After this to fish a tube you should cast it out and let it sink, let it sit for a few seconds and give it a few light tugs and let it sit for another second. If you are in a good area and the fish are there, HOLD on because they will smash this like there no tomorrow.A:Â
I used the standard artificial bait retrieve with the tubes and had no problem catching largemouth bass.A:Â
use your imagination there is hardly a wrong way to fish a tube, bounce it off structure, glide it down rock banks, you can even fish it like a fluke.A:Â
SLOW is the key to tubes. Best way to start is to fish as u would live bait. Tube itself does most of the work. If u retrieve or jig like most plastics u r overworking them.A:Â
i use a crappie jig head and slide hook and all into the tube,this way i am weedless or sometimes i use a #2 hook and and let it float on top of the waterA:Â
i fish these tubes the same way as you would fish a regular tube. Just use a jig head and run it through the tube body, or you can use a sinker and run the hook through the body. Then just bounce it off the bottom and wait for it to sink before you work it again and you should see results.A:Â
fisha123I use a 1/8 to 1/4 oz tube jig on these and most other tubes, the weight depends on the depth I'm fishing and the line size. 6 lb test and 1/8 oz is a good starting point. Push the jig all the way in and punch the eye thru the tube and tie it on. I usually do a lift and drop retrieve after the bait reaches the bottom. Good luck and keep a tight line.

I normally rig it with a small 1/4 ounce weighted hook. On the cast I let it sink to the bottom then retrieve it like a jig with short jerks. Normally on the drop is when I get most of my hits on this bait. I hope this helps. I always recast to the same spot at least three to four times to entice a bite.
