Coffee brake Fishing is fun but then comes the time for that cup of coffee or drink of soada and you need both hands, that is when you need this rod holder and it works great and still keeps the rod tip up and ready. April 19, 2006
Pretty Good For my application it works fine. The only issues I have ran into is when I stick it in softer soil. It has a tendency to swing back and fourth and not stay in place. This can also occur if a decent size fish hits the bait. It works great in harder soil. January 3, 2015
Bass Pro Shops® Bank Rod Holder - Cradle I really like this rod holder it keeps my reel off the ground and it holds my cork handle rod just right that I can easily take it out of the holder when I have a bite that I am not fighting to release my rod from the holder like on some other holders. Have not lost a fish since I got this holder like one of my store bought holders that were way to short, and if you do not want it to rotate on you just take a Coleman tent spike and tap it through the foot ring peg. Not worth it doesn't hold 7' rode in place - swing around it's own axes. Vertical one is much better in my opinion October 14, 2013

I had a 21 inch rainbow trout on the rod that was in this holder and I was in the process of reeling in my other rod and the holder stayed put and held the rod till I put the other rod down and picked up the rod with the trout on.

This should be ample for that size of fish. Just be sure to have the rod holder anchored securely into the ground when fishing.
