Bass Pro Shops® Ball Bearing Swivel with Fast-Lock Snap
Watch out for these
Swivels appear beautifully made, but beware! One swivel broke at the swivel barrel where the ring hooks to it, material seems to be way too thin. Break happened while I was rigging tackle in my garage the day before fishing vacation. I would have been very upset if I'd lost a good fish due to this issue. No confidence in swivel so I re-tied all tackle with different swivels that I trusted.

Broke under moderate stress
We have broken 2 of these, one with a big saltwater striper on, pulled the snap apart under probably 40 pounds of pressure with a large fish on the other end (for an 80 pound test model, it should have held).
Another broke after a small amount of contact with rocks on a jetty, broke right at the swivel.
I have been pretty disappointed with them overall.

Ball Bearing Swivels
Highly recommended. I do a lot of fresh water trolling for trout and salmon, using lead core and down riggers. I always use these swivels because my lines and leaders never twist/snarl as they have done with "regular" (not ball bearing) swivels. The aggravation they prevent justifies the price.

These Swivels Are The Best!
I figured it was time to review these swivels since I have already been recommending them to others. I used swivels at first because I had a hard time tying and retying lures. I like to try different lures and if I had to cut and retie all the time not only would it be time consuming it would cause me to go through line quickly. I have tried many other brands of swivels from inexpensive ones to name brand high dollar swivels and these are by far the best I have ever used. These are very strong but what makes these the "best" in my mind is that they are very easy to open and close. I've bought other high dollar ones and had a heck of a time getting some of them to open and close. These give you the strength you need and are easy to use. I use the size "0" for all my freshwater applications and they are rated at 29 lbs, more than enough for any largemouth I may encounter at my local lake. If you enjoy using Mepps, Panther Martin or Rooster Tail inline spinners these eliminate line twist. It does not effect the action of crankbaits either just a great product. Highly recommended!
