BPS used to sell a wonderful baitcast pic that looked like a miniature knitting needle. This hook-like thing is too large and sharp to use with braids. My old one swims with the fishes and I sure miss it!

No bait caster should leave home without one. It makes a bad cast into one that can be redone.
I've been bait casting since 1946. Where was this
item then. Back then I used one of my moms
crochet needles. This pic has it beat hands down. Thanks Bass Pro.

I BOUGHT THIS WITH MY QUANTUM KVD COMBO, THIS IS MY FIRST BAITCAST REEL. LEARNING TO CAST IT I HAVE ALREADY PUT THIS TOOL TO GOOD USE...LOL. VERY HANDY AND HELPFUL EASY TO GET OUT KNOTS AND TANGLES... I RECOMMEND IT!
