bait cast pic the bait casting pic is good but the strength of it is not good. those knots that are on tight will staightened the little hook on the end of it. July 9, 2006
WORTH ITS WEIGHT IN GOLD PROS: This thing is awesome!!! I bought this to help get rid of the backlash that happens wih baitcasting reels. This little tool has saved me HOURS of frustration & kept me out on the water instead of sending me home early. This pick is everything they say it is!! It's lightweight, easy to use, comfortable to hold, & does not take up a lot of space. I would be lost without one! Cons: the only drawback I can see to this is that there needs to be a lanyard on it that connects the lid to the pick. I found this out too late because I dropped mine in the lake & had to buy another. Other than that, the pick is an excellent tool. July 26, 2011
Works ok. Beter than not having one. Bought this tool because I just bought a bait cast reel and new I would get a birds nest while trying to learn. Got a birds nest so bad the only thing that helped was a pair of scissors. I did use this tool to remove a simple loop in my line. Tool works good, very sharp and punctures fingers with ease. The only problem I encountered; if you jerk on the loop of line, the hook will break off. I ordered 2 the last time. Valuable tool, just a little on the brittle side. November 30, 2014
great little tool Every once and a while I will get a nasty birds nest with one of my baitcasters, and thats when I reach for this tool. It is really a money saver because I don't have to cut and trash expensive flourocarbon line. April 20, 2009

It would be much better for this than it's intended purpose, but thanks for the idea. At least now, I have a good use for this thing!

This product is not intended for this. There is a small hook at the end to hook into backlash loop.
You may bend or break product.

Yes small enough but not really made for that. Because the point is curved and probably fragile
