Bass Pro Shops Bait Cast Nets
the net over all is good. it casts easy its durable and for a reasonable price. the only thing i find wrong is the weight. it dose not sink as fast as some nets but i cast in mainly shallow water like grass flats so its not much of a disadvantage. i am completely pleased with my purchase.

poor quality cast net
I found that this net was very ahrd to get open. I have been using cast nets for almost 15 years and I have never had so much trouble with a net than I have had with this one. The stringer lines get tangled very easy with the net and cause poor throws. Also this is not a good net for any water over 6'. I find it very difficult to catch bait with this net. The plastic oated weights seem to cause some of the problems with this they seem to slow the net down and almost seem bouyant. Sorry, but this net is not recommended...

Not a bad net
I purchased this net after destroying my 6 ft 3/8" net on an oyster bar. I went with the 1/4 mesh size due to the size of the bait that i am after and i got tired of pulling them out of the 3/8 mesh.
After getting it home and checking it out, i noticed some issues with the net.
1. The weights do not appear to be made out of plastic. I had to file a little nipple off of each weight because the net kept getting caught in them while trying to load the net. I believe these nipples were caused by the molding process during the manufacturing process.
2. Because of the tight mesh and the insufficient weight of the plastic, the net sinks very slowly and tends to miss a lot of the bait. If there is a current you can forget about filling the net.
This net is better suited for the lake than saltwater.
