Bass Pro Shops Auto/Manual Inflatable Life Vest
I haven't actually pulled the cord, but...
I needed a PFD to use my float tube and was tempted to get one of the vest types with all the pockets. They are all pretty much the same, but are pretty confining and I was convinced would be really warm out on a float tube in the summer months. I decided to buy this type of PFD, and BPS just happened to have a sale on this one and a deal on shipping at the same time. It was easy to set up once I found the yellow cap hidden in the skin of the PFD. I wore it for the first time yesterday, and I was not aware of having it on at all. I guess it will inflate and save my life if I start going down, but I haven't needed to pull the cord yet.

Peace of Mind
I bought this life jacket for my husband, who often launches his boat and fishes alone. I worry that he might some day slip and fall on a boat ramp or in the boat. This light weight vest could easily save his life, if he should hit his head or be unable to swim to safety. It will inflate when it is immersed. He says he will wear it, and I feel much better about his fishing alone.

worth the money
Having a previous bad float tubing experience has taught me the value of personnel safety protection should be always considered anytime you put yourself on the water. I recently purchased this inflatable PFD for a trip up to June Lake in the Sierras for fishing in my kayak. It is very light weight and easy to use. I hardly noticed I was wearing a PFD. I hope that I never need to see if it inflates automatically, which to me is the only thought that crossed my mind while wearing it but I felt confident that it has been tested and will work . A good buy for your peace of mind while fishing .

Why did I wait so long
I had always been a little skeptical about how comfortable an auto inflate life jacket would be when worn while fishing. As luck would have it my fishing partner bought an extra auto inflate PFD. I wore it one time and went straight home and ordered me one. I don't even realize I have it own. I wear it from the time I launch the boat until I load it on the trailer. Before I had always worn a PFD when the boat was moving. Since I have bought my auto inflate PFD I have caught myself several times looking for my life jacket when getting ready to move the boat only to realize that I already have it own. As a reminder to hook my kill switch to my auto inflate PFD I will clip the lanyard to my key so I remember to hook it to my PFD when I get ready to start the engine. As for the price I looked at other websites that had PFD's that were almost exactly like the one I bought. BPS had the best price and $5 shipping so it was a no brainer deal for me...two thumbs up
