Rated 3 out of 5Â by er1c not great
I bought the 4" version to minimize weight in the tackle bag. The pliers and fold out blade work fine, but the line cutter doesn't cut anything. It's designed to cut like scissors, unlike typical line cutters, but the "blades" are chunky and far apart. The mini light died right away, although this part was somewhat of a novelty anyway. It's an OK compact plier-tool.

I expected these to work great because most Bass Pro products are very good quality. However, with these, that was not the case. The tools were very low grade and were not very helpful. The pliers were decent, however, the area where you cut your line was offset and I could not even cut the thickest line i have. Overall, a very bad purchase.

I got it as a gift from fellow angler and it seems to be nice and i like miniature size especially for small stream trouts comes very handy and did not take bigger space.

I bought one of each size. The larger one was of really bad quality. Blades became loose after a week of use and they dangerously unfold easily. You can fix it just by tightening the nut on the base. The small model has more dignity; is better finished and so far after more than a year is still in place. I would recommend this tool only if you plan to use it occasionally. The pliers alone are acceptable and have a close bite though.
The flashlight on both models is the same, for its size it lights fair enough. Changing the batteries can be somehow problematic; I had to use an aluminum foil piece at the bottom to make them fit snugly.

I have one of these, flashlight quit working. Replaced batteries, no luck. Was wondering if the bulb is replacable. Don't have a part number, can you help with that? If not, I don't suppose I could exchange it for a new one?Answers
A:Â
No, we do not have a replacement buld. The price would or more than likely be more then the item. Return the item or buy a new one. http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/s...1 of 1
