Bass Pro Shops 8'' Hatch Support Spring I thought I was getting the "shock asorber" type but ended up being this spring type. I have never seen these before and the reason I am giving it a bad rating is because there are NO INSTUCTIONS on how to install these. I will figure it out and if I get them installed correctly and they work I may come back and give a different rating but for now I cannot give a good rating July 3, 2013
Great product! Great product. Just what I needed to keep one of my boat hatches open when needed. September 29, 2012
Works great for marine use It took me over 4 months to find this product. Have had 2 cabinet doors that open up on boat that the old springs were damaged. This was the exact replacement and door no longer falls on your head. Thank You May 16, 2011

SHould work fine but depends on how heavy a lid. If the lid when open is straight up then they work great.
