Rated 4 out of 5 by for the beginner This is a great product for a beginner. This is not the bassmasters bait but is great to learn how to jig fish. It comes with a ton of trailers and jigs to learn with. Def would recommend this product. April 6, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by nice kit Just beginning to use jigs and this kit has everything I need. Used last summer through the fall and caught many smallies using these jigs. I don't consider myself qualified to comment on the build quality of these lures, but I do know that they catch fish. And isn't that the whole point? March 11, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by they really work They work great! I caught bass after bass. The action atracks the bass a lot. June 11, 2008

Details:
One review says the hooks don't have barbs, but how could that be? So are there barbs on these or no?

They are just a poorly made hook period and if you catch a 4 or 5 pound bass consider yourself very lucky

There are barbs, but to be honest with you the kit overall is not so good. Weed guards fall out, and the hooks are terrible. Had one hook that was useless because the barb had been flattened somehow. Also, I missed a ton of fish on these. Ended up giving most of these to kids I met while fishing on the water. This was the only good use for them.
