Rated 5 out of 5 by great kit i got this as a starter kit, as i didnt have much experience or luck with jigging, i feel that for the money it gives you everything you need to get going. now i just have to figure out a good method for using them...nice colors. so if your just starting jigging or just need to stock up this kit is perfect for you May 20, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by All you'll need Bought this kit for the variety of colors it offered. I hadn't had a bit of luck in the past with jigs, but I'd seen tons of people use them with success, so i knew it was just a matter of time and developing my own method that worked. First time i went to the pond with this kit i hadn't had a nibble the past 3 trips. Pond was clouded from a rain storm so i threw out a solid black jig with black chunk trailer and boy howdy was i pleased. Caught my biggest fish yet on that jig on the 3rd cast. My buddy got jealous so i let him use the other and we continued to wear them out all day. Ranging from 2 pounds on up including the big one (about 7 pounds). This kit has a good amount of trailers to match all the jig head colors. This kit simply works. Its performance convinced my buddy to buy one. If you're on the edge about buying it, I'd recommend you go ahead and do it. It will make for a good day out on the water. April 3, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good Deal When I got these I had to go see how these little guys perform so I just drove down to the family pond, basically a small lake lol. These jigs stand straight up with the craw in the defense position. The skirt's strands CAN be pulled out easily and the plastics don't seem to be that durable but they have good action to them. But I usually don't expect to much from a kit as much as buying it seperate. The hooks pretty sharp as well so all in all great for the $$$. August 24, 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by love them Well me and my wife used them that night when I got them she was using the pumpkin and I was using the blue and black and we caught some good fish that night she had a 4lb and I had a 3lb good baits July 1, 2011

Hooks

Details:
One review says the hooks don't have barbs, but how could that be? So are there barbs on these or no?

They are just a poorly made hook period and if you catch a 4 or 5 pound bass consider yourself very lucky

There are barbs, but to be honest with you the kit overall is not so good. Weed guards fall out, and the hooks are terrible. Had one hook that was useless because the barb had been flattened somehow. Also, I missed a ton of fish on these. Ended up giving most of these to kids I met while fishing on the water. This was the only good use for them.

They passed the thumb nail test with flying colors. Biggest fish of my life caught on these and didn't even require a hook set!
