Small screen and no back light HARD TO READ
I allready have the back lite one item # 95519916 and its great. I thought I would buy the newer model for my mother and was very disappointed with the smaller screen and no back lighting for reading at night. Buy the $109.00 one with the back light feature.

Rated 1 out of 5 by johnintioga beware of battery type
My unit is great until it loses the info from the sensor head. The problem I have encountered is not covered in the troubleshooting guide. I thought at first that my unit was too far away even though it was well within the guide lines. I remounted it very close after losing the data head info several times. I had reset the unit each time but when you reset the unit you lose all data history. Well today it quit again after running fine for about a week. Signal level was five bars. I finally called support. They said that energizer batteries will not work in their unit. I have not changed batteries yet but beware. There is no disclaimer in their literature or from Bass Pro Shops that tell you you must use Duracell batteries in this unit or it will not work consistently. We had bought a second unit and hope the folks we gave it to are not also having a problem with their unit. I will try Duracell batteries but as an electrical engineer I can't believe that there is not a design flaw in this unit that needs to be corrected before it is continued to be marketed as a reliable unit.

Rated 4 out of 5 by bvvresident Very useful gift
Easy to install although the rain guage system is a bit of pain to calibrate.
The display unit is big enough to see from a distance and give me the information I wanted in a weather unit. The unit is still in it's "learning phase" so I do not know yet about it's accuracy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ChristopherATL Super "Dad Gift"
One of the best gifts ever for my 75 year old Dad who stays glued to the wx forecast on TV. My parents live way up in the mountains of north GA. This wx station is his new favorite toy because of all its features. Easy to set up and the wireless feature is great. I was a bit concerned there might have been too many features for dad to make good use out of it. Much to my delight he's a very happy camper.
