Rod Holder Nice item, works fine but SLOW Shipping from Bass Slow Shop. I will shop some place else. June 25, 2014
Good Product This is my second rod rack. The first one I bought works well for my needs. I purchased another to put adjacent to the one I have. It is easy to install with the hardware supplied. A drill and 1/8" metal drill bit is needed to pre-drill the 4 holes to mount in my aluminum boat. Holds multiple rods, pliers, and my trusty fishing net. March 28, 2014
top quality Good quality and well made. Made from plastic but heavy gauge and really good quality great bang for the buck. March 9, 2014
Very Pleased A very good solid rod holder. I bought 3 of them to keep my salt water rods organized and I am very happy with the purchase July 11, 2013

A:
you can use them for trolling as long as you want to troll with your rods in the upright position. I would not recommend trolling any more than 1 rod at a time with them to avoid tangles.

They can be, it might take some time to get it mounted right though. I have some on a receiver hitch on the front of my Jeep for when I go to the OBX.

These are short for easier boat install. I wojld not use this on my vehicle. I would want longer holders for surf rods with longer grip ends.
For a boat they are perfect.

Plastic, like a PVC material, very sturdy, you would have to try to break it.
