Do not like the timer on the cooker. It cuts the gas off when it goes off.

Bought this fryer for the campground-absolutely LOVE it!! The extra baskets are great and give you options.
The only drawback to this item is...There is no instruction manual for cooking certain items, no recipes, nothing of that sort. It doesn't even give instructions for cooking a turkey-only how to figure out oil amount for turkey!
The instructions only tell assembly, how to use gas valves & measuring oil to cook a turkey.
Had to go online and research it!!!

We picked this fryer up at the Grapevine BPS on our way through Dallas back to New Mexico. Easy assembly, looks good. Tryed it out last weekend with a fish fry for 28 people. Very happy with fryer, temp regulated well, was able to fry enough fish at one time in large baskett that everyone ate about the same time, as fish came off used one baskett for potatos and one for hush puppys. Liked it well enough that I am on the web now ordering a second unit to have it for a block party in two weeks. Hope this helps.

It cooked good, but was not made very sturdy and welding broke as it was being assembled. Lid should have had slots in them so baskets could be in with the lid on.

I don't see why not. As long as it is large enough to not fall in between the grid. A twelve inch Dutch oven should work well on this burner. The burner is a little difficult to control for specialized cooking, but I think it could be mannaged.A:Â
Any cookware that can take direct flame will work with this unit, you will need to remove the pot guides to allow other cookware to fit on the flat surface above the burner.Answers

It turns out that there was a “CSA regulation change this year where all Turkey fryers could be no more than 38,000 BTUs and 5PSI. This is an industry standard that we have to follow. That is why the information was listed as 58,000 BTUs. This will be changed to 38,000. Thanks!Answers
