I bought this turkey fryer in November because I got tired of using my neighbors.
This thing was a dream come true.I also found this easier to use than the one my neighbor has. some Assembly needed,Very easy to follow instructions. It comes with everything you need except the Oil and Turkey and Propane tank.

it is are second time using it and started having problem about the end of first fry. The base keeps loosing its flame unless we hold the ignition button inAnswers

When the twenty minute timer runs out it stops the gas flow. You are supposed to check your oil temp every ten to fifteen minutes, and turn the timer back up to max time. The ignition button will bypass the timer, but as soon as you let it go the timer has priority again and will shut it back off.A:Â
Turn timer knob clockwise. The timer only stays lit with LP for 15 minutes.

Note: Cycle time for timer is around 20 minutes. If the timer is not reset within around 20 minutes, the burner will shut OFF automatically. If this occurs, please follow lighting instructions and continue to cook. Can this unit boil water? If so... How long does it take?The stainless steel version says it can boil, steam, and fry, but this one does not specify. They both have the same BTU though.
I'm using it to boil water for instant coffee and hot chocolate at large events.

Yes it can do the things you ask ,The only thing it Does not have is a spout.I would Buy the other one because it is steel and would be able to handle the abuse of use during such events and Easy to use because it does have an easy pour spout .

The base with the tip guard is 18" high and width of base is about 20". Overall height with pot in place is 26.5".This has a timer, which the Cycle time for timer is around 20 minutes. Nope...LP only, you could cusomize it if you knew what you were doing (Level 2 gas tech) by changing hole sizes, etc...
