I recently purchased this as a gift for my mother and liked it so much i bought it for myself also! After putting it up, it basically adjust itself and within hours is very accurate!

Multiple choices. The wind sensor (anemometer) is mounted to the top of the all-in-one outdoor sensor. There is a versatile right-angle mount to attach to any vertical or horizontal surface (building, fence post, etc) with two supplies screws and anchors. Or - the bottom of the all-in-one sensor has an insert that will accept common 3/4-inch schedule 40 PVC pipe. (As I did.)Images for this Answer
