Bass Pro Shops 3' Graphite Series Trigger Rod
Awesome Ice Rod
I use this rod to ice fish for for Lake Trout. It works fantastic and its not expensive. I will admit I broke one in half BUT I was trying to horse a 15 pound Mac through the ice hole and was holding the rod between the handle and first guide. (a big no no with any rod) Still, they work great even with 12 lb test and 3/4 to 1 ounce jigs. The rod has plenty of sensitivity to feel light hits and just enough power and length to get a good hook set.
Guides are a bit small for real cold weather but a little silicone spray seems to keep them from icing up.

cool little rod
got one for fun. and decided to use for some catfish. DONT DO THAT. hooked a nice 4 pound channel and the rod broke at the real seat. so I held the rod and my friend reeled it in.

not strong at all
I bought this rod back in April of this year to Bass fish in a small heavily wooded pond behind my house, because of limited area I needed a small rod to be able to cast from the bank. I bought this rod this spring and have used it about 6 times, caught only a few really small Bass with it. I was fishing with a topwater poper and had one hit so I set the hook, the rod snapped in half, and I did not hang up on anything! I managed to get the fish in with just the reel, because the rod had no eyes on it, it broke between the handle and the first eye? after getting the Bass in it was only a 2 pounder??? it is a good rod, casted well, but I would only recommend it for small fish, like bream or crappie!!!!

Broke in half :o(
The rod was sweet out of the box. Loved the feel and sensitivity of the short rod.. The accuracy of the cast was great for fishing the ocumulgee river. Casting underhand and side arm is great to get your lure under all the over hanging cover.. Any way the rod snapped in half while setting the hook on a 4lbs bass.. I did get the fish in, but the rod was toast.. I read several post where the exact same thing happened to other people.. Please address this problem, because you have a great product.. It just needs to be a little heavier built..
