Rated 5 out of 5Â by KC81260 Great jigs
Pan fishing for Gills, Perch and Crapie in Canada was a blast with these jig skirts. We even pulled in some nice large mouthes, all on 1/8 oz jig heads. We had great success with all colors, although the red, white and blue ran out first. With or without bait, they performed excellently and the tails really took a beating from the nibblers. I will definitely buy again.

These lures are amazing. The best way to fish them is under a bobber. This kit has many colors which I like because the crappie in the lakes I fish in like one color one day and a different one the next.

Black/white with 1/8oz black/white/red jighead with slow retrieve and slight jerk every few turns works great! Havent really used any other color yet as this one consistently catches fish. Have caught a few channel catfish, and a ton of saugeye and crappie with this combination. Initially bought this solely for crappie fishing, however Im amazed how well this is bringing in 12-15 inch saugeye. Out of the box, the tails on these seem to be a little stuck together...I have found they work best if you 'break' the tail fins apart to bring out the red 'blood' look more.

I fished these today at Fellows Lake in Springfield, alongside another line with live minnows. The minnows caught nothing at all. A guy and his kids beside me didn't have any luck with minnows OR tubes. He switched to the tubes when I started pulling 'em out. I honestly think the reason I caught more was the colors- specifically the fact that they're blooded. Not even the Yamamatos are blooded. I fished them on a 1/32 oz jig matching the body color, no float. I used a steady, slow retrieve with a twitch every 2-3 turns. If I hit my mark when I cast, I got a fish. Only crappie tube I will ever use.
