Bass Pro Shops® 0º Oversized Duckcloth Sleeping Bag
I bought two of these bags so I could zip them together and have one large sleeping back for both me and my wife. They worked great, my wife was never cold once.

great car-camping bag
I am 6'3' tall.I grew up camping and loved everything about it, except sleeping. I always had cheap, regular length bags that reached my chest. This is my second large bag purchased from Bass Pro. The first is about 10 years old and rated to 35 degrees.I have slept out over 200 nights. I love it! Big, flannel-lined , and comfortable, but I needed a warmer bag for those cold fall and early spring trips at over 7,000 ft elevation.
My new bag is exactly like my old one (except the color) , but the new one is much warmer.(rated at 0 degrees. I am very happy with my new bag.It is well made with good material. The zipper is heavy-duty and easy to use.It is also easy to roll up.
My old blue bag has a new cold-weather pal!

Waste of money
I'm a Civil War reenactor and I got this bag for that purpose. I use period tents, so it's not as if I'm sleeping in this bag exposed to everything. That said, this bag does not keep me warm. The last reenactment it got down to about 20 degrees F. I froze with blankets piled on top and underneath the bag. It does not hold the heat. It cant even handle 20 degrees, much less the 5 degree temps I sometimes have to sleep in. Unfortunately, I can't afford a better bag so I'm stuck with this thing. I do not recommend this bag to anyone. It's a waste of money.

nice lower priced bag
Decent quality for the price. Slept in 20 degree weather and had to open the sleeping bag up in middle of the night I was roasting. Only complaint is the zipper, hard to operate like any other sleeping bag once your inside.

I have a sleeping bag that is very similar this one. However, only the 'duck cloth' is a sleeping bag. The lining buttons to the inside of the sleeping bag and when unattached from the sleeping bag could act as a blanket alone - is this bag constructed the same way or is it all sewn together?
This bag is a bed-roll style. Lay it out flat with the flap sewn onto the foot of the bag facing up. Start rolling from the head down toward the foot. The bag rolls into the flap to keep it clean. Attach the clips to hold it in a roll. This will be a long, skinny roll rather than the traditional short, fat roll.
Because every person has a different tolerance to the weather some people might smoke or take blood thinners some people might be fat and that gives the body extra insulation it depends on the individuality of the person and what they can handle.
Because people are different. Some sleep with additional blankets or sheets inside the bag and these add to the insulation effect. The surface you sleep on also makes a large difference (Ground, Pad, air mattress, etc)
What exactly is Duck Cloth? I was just wondering if the outside of this is tough canvas "Carhart type material" or what is it??I had a bag years ago that was made of Carhart type cloth and that was the best bag ever! Go figure, I lent it to a buddy and never got it back. Serves me right, so now I'm on the hunt again. Good deal?
The insulation is listed as "hollow fiber". Just looking for some more details on this type of insulation and what type of material it is. Is this a technical material from a plastics or materials company?
