I slept in the bag in a tent with minimal ground cover. The temp dipped to 25F. Upper body was chilly due to air but feet never got cold. I recommend this bag for a weekend camper at 10F but if your looking for hardcore go with a bag that has a head cover. Mummy bags arent for me. I like to move my feet. I am very pleased with my purchase! Highly recommended for temps as low as 10F with appropriate ground cover and you won't need a heater. Great Boy Scout bag!!

Length not as advertised. I'm 6'4 and bought two of these bags for the 7'0 length.
This is my second bad experience with BPS!

Good bag for cold weather. This bag is too hot for mild weather.

I have a sleeping bag that is very similar this one. However, only the 'duck cloth' is a sleeping bag. The lining buttons to the inside of the sleeping bag and when unattached from the sleeping bag could act as a blanket alone - is this bag constructed the same way or is it all sewn together?
This bag is a bed-roll style. Lay it out flat with the flap sewn onto the foot of the bag facing up. Start rolling from the head down toward the foot. The bag rolls into the flap to keep it clean. Attach the clips to hold it in a roll. This will be a long, skinny roll rather than the traditional short, fat roll.
Because every person has a different tolerance to the weather some people might smoke or take blood thinners some people might be fat and that gives the body extra insulation it depends on the individuality of the person and what they can handle.
Because people are different. Some sleep with additional blankets or sheets inside the bag and these add to the insulation effect. The surface you sleep on also makes a large difference (Ground, Pad, air mattress, etc)
What exactly is Duck Cloth? I was just wondering if the outside of this is tough canvas "Carhart type material" or what is it??I had a bag years ago that was made of Carhart type cloth and that was the best bag ever! Go figure, I lent it to a buddy and never got it back. Serves me right, so now I'm on the hunt again. Good deal?
The insulation is listed as "hollow fiber". Just looking for some more details on this type of insulation and what type of material it is. Is this a technical material from a plastics or materials company?
