Waves

Details:
How does this boat do with 1-2 foot waves. I fish in bays and near-shore on the Gulf of Mexico. My kayak does fine, but was wondering how your boat would handle them. Thanks

This boat is recommended for flat water only. We do not suggest taking it out in the ocean due to the possibility of capsizing. This boat is manufacturered by Bass Hunter. Their website is located at www.basshunter.com if you have any additional questions or concerns.

Per the manufacturer,
No, this is not a Self Draining Boat.
There is a drain plug but that only drains the foot area of the boat.

Per the manufacturer "It is challenging to answer a question about river use, because of the difference in river size and movement. For example, areas of the Mississippi have heavy barge traffic and associated waves, in which our boats wouldn’t be recommended. However, we do hear from satisfied customers who use Bass Hunter Boats in backwater areas of that same river. The big whitewater rivers would, of course, not be recommended. The broad answer to your question is that a great many of our customers are using Bass Hunter Boats in rivers. We particularly get great comments from those using our boats in the small rivers in the southeast, because of the boat’s ability to get through low water areas."

If you have followed the directions, you might try to sand the area a bit just to rough the surface and remove any treatment or try a spray adhesive applied to the stickers then put on. Thanks
