Bass Assassin® Curly Shad
Go To Bait
These baits work great. they are my go to bait for crappie, bass, and bluegill. You can not beat the black shad color with a plain or white jig head. Bass Pro shop has them for 4 dollars a pack. Thats to much.

Assassination is correct!
These curly tails are something. They are different in the fact that the tail sits parallel to the water surface. Most tails face north or south depending on how you rig them. You wouldn't think this change in direction would work as well, but it does.
It actually works better. I've been assassinating crappie, bream, and bass with these all year. Buy a white version and a dark version to start with and you'll come back for the rest.

Curly Shad for Crappie
The 2" pink diamond Curly Shad is a crappie killer here in the Western Kentucky strip pits that I fish. When combined with a chartreuse Road Runner jig head, you can't beat 'em. I usually make sure I have plenty of pink diamond Curly Shad on hand and an ample supply of rainbow trout Curly Shad as a backup - if one color isn't producing, the other usually does.

These "grubs" absolutely rock. I use the 2" models (pumpkinseed) on the river for smallies and other panfish (as well as the occassional LMB). More durable than many similar grubs.
