This bow shoots well over the modestly listed 320 fps. It is leaps above other xbows with the same draw weight. Great for any sized game and very easy to maneuver in close wooded area's.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by TheGuardian Just Outstanding!
Had the bow for about 2 weeks and its fabulous. The only thing that should be changed is the scope, just buy another one. The draw works great, durable and tough. The weight is just right as well as the anti dry fire system. Also its a compound so you have to fire a bolt out of it to un-cock it! But definitly recomended!

Rated 5 out of 5Â by usfbullsgal Love my Barnett
Bought this crossbow not that long ago. It was easy to assemble and was shooting it right out of the box. It has excellent accuracy, was shooting it at 30 yards in my backyard. I would recommend either a cocking rope or a cocking crank (which one can be installed).
Absolutely cannot wait to take this hunting next deer season!

Does the Barnett Quad 400 safety need to be in the off position in order to cock the bow?
Details:Â
The safety won't slide forward from the as shipped position. If I use the cranking device I'm afraid I won't be able to release the string.Images for this Question
