Details: 
The bow is for a 13 year old girl. Draw weight is at 45# & 24" length. Will be hunting deer & turkey at close range. I was thinking a heavier carbon arrow with a 75 grain broadhead would do fine. Does that sound right?

Yes and No. If you have a bit of natural skill and plan on sticking with the hobby/sport, then yes. If you can adapt to shooting this bow and shoot well, you won't need to up-grade to a faster/ more precise bow for a while. But it does have a more aggressive draw cycle than some other bows. Bows can't be rated simply by other peoples' opinions. It has more to do with how it feels for YOU.
