Rated 4 out of 5 by smittyinoklahoma allows me to use this crossbow easily I am 60 years old and my lower back will not allow me to stand, bend over, and draw this C5 crossbow by hand.( I can do it from the sitting position using my legs to push the frame away) This cranking device allows me to do it easily. Easy to install if you follow the directions exactly. Storage of the string and claw has been much improved. Expensive, but necessary for me. July 19, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by Tazzmann Best Purchase I Ever Made Bought a Barrett Quad 400 Cross Bow then injured my back. With it taking 150lbs of draw weight to cock the bow I figured it would be quite a while before I ever used it again. I then bought this cocking device and now that draw weight is handled with about 10lbs of weight on a crank handle. Ease of mounting and use were unbeleavable. Without this item my crossbow would be collecting dust now I practice with it whenever I like. April 26, 2010
Rated 4 out of 5 by Lacajun55 Crossbow cocking device I have had no problem with this device so far.The only thing I don't like is after your bow is cocked you have the hooks and sting dangling below your stock. There's really no place to keep it out of the way.Its don't interfere with shooting the bow but might make noise are draw attention to the deer when aiming at one out of a tree stand. Rated 1 out of 5 by 1volfan1 BEWARE!!! Bought this and the first one was missing a screw to hold it together. It flew apart after 4 cranks. I returned it to the manufacturer and they replaced it with a new one. This unit failed at nearly full draw!!! The string broke on this unit. Something is seriously wrong with this design. I was using it on a Barnett Revolution AVI. July 16, 2008

A:These will not fit a Commander per Barnett web site.
A:I have the Barnett Penetrator, I knew the cranking device worked on the Quad 400 which I was there to buy, however they did not have a Quad 400 in stock, so thats how i ended up with the Penetrator. The salesman in the Archary Dept. looked up and found that the cranking devise worked with my model. However bass Pro did not have the cranking devise in stock. So i purchased the crossbow and when I got home called Bass Pro and ordered it on line, there were 2 models of cranking devises. My model was not listed as being compatiable. The lady taking the order lookup and comfirmed which model I needed for my crossbow. SO, call Bass Pro or Barnett and they can easely answer your question and get you the right crank.
A:The Jackal crossbow is not listed to be compatible with this item.
A:you must buy whatever devise is reccomened for your bow. I bought one for my quad and it came undone on one side snaspping the other as well as my bowstring. After many attempts to contact Barnett with no I repeat NO answer or acknowledgement from them I wont buy Barnett again.
