Barnett Crossbow Crank Cocking Devices
Greatly reduces the effort needed to cock your bow. Attaches cleanly to your bow stock for a low-profile comfortable fit. Adaptable to left- or right-hand use; removable at the push of a button.

Works well and makes cocking MUCH easier, however, when I received the CCD, one of the screws that holds the ratchet assy. was crossthreaded and wrong off when IL tried to remove it. I contacted Barnett and they sent me a new one, so all is well. As I said, it works well but is very slow, however, I'm very satisfied. Eddard.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by amancango makes loading easier
I got one of these before they cost $99 (thanks inflation) and it makes cocking alot easier. It brings the draw weight down on my wildcat from 150 to just 17 pounds. Its pretty well built and it comes on pretty easily. I like it for target practice cause you can shoot your bow without getting tired out but honestly I take it off if I'm going in the woods because it's not as fast as a rope cocker or just using your hands. It also has a rachet safty mechanism this clicks rather loud as you crank it if you have it engaged.
Over all it makes shooting the bow easier and some say more accurate but at the same time it take longer to load... I would compare it to shooting and reloading an old musket with the crank as opposed to shooting and reloading a break action shotgun without it ( also without the recoil as coarse).

The Barnett Crossbow Cranking device worked flawlessly! Being a handicap hunter, this was the answer to being able to go archery hunting. I did have n issue installing the cam as the bolts did not align property, however with a call to Barnett, they sent me the new parts UPS and it resolved the issue. I used the crossbow hunting this last weekend and it worked to perfection. I would definitely recommend this product. However it is an extra hundred dollars, I feel Barnett should include the crank with the purchase of the crossbow package.

These will not fit a Commander per Barnett web site.A:Â
I have the Barnett Penetrator, I knew the cranking device worked on the Quad 400 which I was there to buy, however they did not have a Quad 400 in stock, so thats how i ended up with the Penetrator. The salesman in the Archary Dept. looked up and found that the cranking devise worked with my model. However bass Pro did not have the cranking devise in stock. So i purchased the crossbow and when I got home called Bass Pro and ordered it on line, there were 2 models of cranking devises. My model was not listed as being compatiable. The lady taking the order lookup and comfirmed which model I needed for my crossbow. SO, call Bass Pro or Barnett and they can easely answer your question and get you the right crank.Answers
