This bullet is one of the best bullets I have ever shot. The bullet is all copper, so it punshes through anything. It does mushroom very well, too. Imagine a bullet that will go through anything, but would still mushroom in deer size animals. The beauty of this bullet is that you will almost always (for me always except one time) get an exit wound. This makes blood trailing a little easier. I do prefer shoulder shots to anchor the animals I am shooting. This bullet has no problem breaking both shoulders and exiting the animal. There is no fear of the bullet exploding on impact with no penetration....this never happens with this bullet at all. When I was sighting the bullet I happened to hit the steep post that is holding the target. Rest assured the bullet went through it with ease. A lighter bullet for the caliber is a good idea with this bullet. Because it is sight a solid bullet that hold up to extreme impacts, a light bullet would mushroom even better and would still go through the animal with ease. I strongly recommend this bullet. While many bullets shoots accurately when loaded touching the lands, these bullets like to be seated 3 - 5 thousands from the lands. I load these bullets in 270 Win. With .05 off the lands I get touching holes at 100 yards.

These bullets are very accurate and can be used in non lead areas. I just wish I could purchase some powder to load the rounds. I guess in do time.

I've been reloading Barnes TSX & TTSX for several years now. I loaded the 120gr TTSX (.264 Win Mag) and the 168gr TSX (300 Win Mag) For an African safari with my son. I used the .264 Win on large game the size of kudu, zebra, gemsbok, to smaller stuff like impala, warthogs. etc. all were one shot kills and bullet performance was exceptional. Although I did get slightly better accuracy with Hornady's 140gr SST I found out the hard way on one gemsbok. (Perfect shot but bullet grenaded with little penetration and required a follow up with a Barnes) Remember to go down in bullet weight when using Barnes solids.
A bit pricey for range shooting (I can get double the amount of Hornadys for the same price) but can't be beat in the field

Uniform weight, more accuracy than I expected. They
expand well on everything from coyotes to deer. They're the only bullets I'm using now in my 7mm-08.
