Badlands™ Tree Stand Pack
Worth every penny
I am picky about packs but I knew I’d get a Badlands . I was torn between the Recon, Diablo, TreeStand and Superday. The higher capacity and hanging basket made me go with the TreeStand. I clearly made a good choice as this pack is the perfect size for my jacket, urine bottle, binos, gadgets, snacks, harness and more. I needed one big enough to hold these items comfortably but also be able to hold 2 hind quarters and loins from a deer. So far I have packed two deer out of the woods, yet if the deer is large, I can not fit the shoulders plus my other gear. Even if I have to come back for the shoulders, that’s fine as getting precious meat away from coyotes quickly is critical. The pack is small and narrow enough however to have my tree stand on my back, wear the pack on my chest and walk comfortably through and in and out of the woods with my bow in hand.
Being high in a tree, accessing items from the hanging basket is much easier, quieter and faster than from zipped pockets. The TreeStand pack also has about 5 small zippered compartments to keep stuff separated and secure. There is a larger non-zippered pocket just above the basket where I put items 5-9 inches long, like my knife, hand saw and grunt tube. I would rather have a long narrow pocket in the interior along the side of the pack for these larger items but it’s not a big deal.
Also the TreeStand has a neat and tidy way of securing my water bladder and hose. They are out of the way and with the pack zipped up tight, I can easily drink while walking or in the tree.
Innovated, highly durable, light weight, comfortable, practical, well-priced. I highly recommend this pack. You’ll be just as psyched as I am.

The Perfect Pack
I actually own 2 Badlands Backpacks. This one and The Point. The Tree Stand Pack is perfect for the everyday whitetail hunter. Plenty of space yet small enough to hang from a hook. And, everything is right there within reach! Love this pack!
