You could live for a week out of this pack. Fits a big man perfect as im 6'1 and 290lbs. Why buy a turkey vest when this pack covers all Kinds of hunting trips great pack thanks bass pro.

There are 2 straps under the main compartment, I use for tying my jacket down

Yes mine is 44 not a problem.A:Â
I would believe it would. I have a 32" waist and have it tightened all the way down. I measured and each side of the fanny pack has about 11 inches of strap material to secure the pack once the buckle is fastened.A:Â
I have one that I bought when my waist was 44 ", so it should fit you fine.
