BOGgear® BOG-POD® Red-Legged Devil™ Tripod
I have been using Stoney point tripod before I bought this Bog Pod. This models greatest advantages compared to the really good Stoney point Bi/Tripod is that the rubber feet are better secured by threds in stead of just being pushed in place. I lost rubber feet on the Stoney point whhen they got stuck in mud. And the swivelling head. Weight is higer then the Stoney Point, but it also feels more solid and stable. I can really recommend it, and I always use a bi or tripod when possible, to improve precision!

Well made product
I bought this tripod for my upcoming elk hunt. They are very well built and light weight and should come in handy as a walking stick as well. I considered the Primos trigger stick while shopping for a tripod and chose the Bog Pod because of the lighter weight.

Got a bad one
I had read several good reviews on the Bog Pod tripod so I made the purchase for my upcoming Colorado elk hunt. I took it to the range, opened up the packaging and attempted to get it set up for my height. Then came the problem. 2 of the 3 legs would not tighten down and lock. I read the instructions and tried to fix the problem but nothing worked. I was now stuck w/ a $100 product that I bought 2 1/2 hours away from home. I got on the phone with customer service at Bog Pod to try and resolve it. Feeling I didn't want to pay for shipping on something that was defective right out of the box, I convinced them to email me a shipping form to send it back to them. They admitted it was defective and a new one is in the mail to me.
I like the design and hopefully the new one will work out.
