Avian-X LCD Strutter Turkey Decoy
Best Decoy Ever
The first day I used this decoy I shot a mature tom that came running. The second time it was used my buddy shot his mature tom that came running in also.

First morning was youth hunt and we only had the strutter (no hens) so we put him out before daylight and waited. After an hour of intermittent gobbles we heard the first fly down and looked around to see three hens flying into plot. They landed right beside strutter. After a minute they didn't like something and walked about 20 yards into the woods. Then we heard a gobble, we looked to the far end of the plot to see 3 longbeards running at us. My son barely had time to cock the hammer before they stopped in front of us, strutted, drummed and began bumping (and pecking) the decoy. My son rolled one at 10 yards. I can't expect a better result with anything else.

Received the strutter decoy and wasn't disappointed. It's definitely another quality decoy from the guys at zink. Started using the hen decoys last year, then got the jake when it came out, but was excited when they started talking about a "strutter". Realistic as all the others in their line (more realistic than other brands), but a touch smaller so its definitely not intimidating. Comes with a fake fan but easy to attach real one also. I adapted the remote control stake basspro offers for extra realism, and it looks just like the real thing!

real good not great
I have an Avian X feeder hen decoy that I’m pleased with and was excited when I saw that Zink had come out with a strutter. The realism is, in my opinion, the best out there. It looks great! When I look at it closely however, there are a few inaccuracies. Some of the color in the feathers is inaccurate – still the best on the market but a little inaccurate. For some reason, that annoys me. With just a little more attention to detail, it would be darn near perfect. “Collapsible” is a relative term with this decoy. It compacts a little but not much at all. It’s a little difficult to squeeze the air out of these decoys (hens too) so I usually just leave them blown up. They’re sure durable and hold their color well. With the few gripes I have, I still think they’re the best available. I like that this strutter is a little on the small side. It should help make it a little less intimidating. The tail fan clip is sturdy, quick, and easy. Overall a really good decoy and in my opinion, the best available… Just not perfect.
