Rated 4 out of 5 by bobob real good not great
I have an Avian X feeder hen decoy that I’m pleased with and was excited when I saw that Zink had come out with a strutter. The realism is, in my opinion, the best out there. It looks great! When I look at it closely however, there are a few inaccuracies. Some of the color in the feathers is inaccurate – still the best on the market but a little inaccurate. For some reason, that annoys me. With just a little more attention to detail, it would be darn near perfect. “Collapsible” is a relative term with this decoy. It compacts a little but not much at all. It’s a little difficult to squeeze the air out of these decoys (hens too) so I usually just leave them blown up. They’re sure durable and hold their color well. With the few gripes I have, I still think they’re the best available. I like that this strutter is a little on the small side. It should help make it a little less intimidating. The tail fan clip is sturdy, quick, and easy. Overall a really good decoy and in my opinion, the best available… Just not perfect.

Bought the strutter for my kansas trip and it helped me get my bird on the first morning. From the ease of carrying and the quickness of set up.and the detail is really great also. I give this product the highest rating and look forward to opening day here in iowa.

Received the strutter decoy and wasn't disappointed. It's definitely another quality decoy from the guys at zink. Started using the hen decoys last year, then got the jake when it came out, but was excited when they started talking about a "strutter". Realistic as all the others in their line (more realistic than other brands), but a touch smaller so its definitely not intimidating. Comes with a fake fan but easy to attach real one also. I adapted the remote control stake basspro offers for extra realism, and it looks just like the real thing!

Yes, it is. It doesn't collapse all that much though.A:
Yes you can use a real fan with this. As for the beard that might be done with some thinking but the beard thats with it works fine.A:
It is an inflatable and yes you can use a real fan. The beard is about 3'' (jake) it is not removable....A:
The other two that said no are morons and apparently have never seen these decoys. Yes they are deflatable just like the hens and the jake decoys. I think the color on the strutter is even better than last year's decoys. You could usr a real beard if you wanted to tape it to the existing beard but it's pretty realistic. Any fan can be used, it's a slimple plastic "spring clip" that holds in on. These strutters are very realisticA:
No, they are foam hollow body decoys. the jake has beard on it and it looks like you could put a real one in there without too much effort. hope this helped you out.A:
It is not inflatable.....it's pretty heavy material, fairly hard. My issue is forming them back to life. I just got them yesterday and they were all out of whack so I'm not sure how they will work out. I don't see being able to carry them ffolded up and expect to bring them back to life easy. I don't see using a real fan and I don't think it needs a real beard...the one that comes with it is pretty good but needs cutting back some.1 of 1
