I am very pleased with this cover. I installed mine on a 19' jon boat in my center steering consule. I just measured the overall size of the mount and made a template. Then cut my hole with a jig saw and it fit right in. Once you screw it on there is a trim piece that snaps on to give it a nice clean, finished look. You just have to make sure that the tinted slide is put halfway down when you put the trim piece on or it will not install correctly. Overall I am very pleased with this. For the price that this cost I don't think you can get much better than this cover. Oh and it also has a "shelf" built in to it that has a padded strip on it with adhesive to keep your cd player more secure from bouncing. Boom! Buy this cover now! You wont regret it! Now I kick back and listen to tunes and catch more fish than ever! Tell Bass Pro I sent you.

No instructions as earlier read, your radio will require shims to hold it from sliding side to side, but for $20 what more can you expect. Maybe it'd be better if I would've had a pro install it, but the smoke lens looks awesome with my radio.

I installed the trim with the door open....Now I can not close the door or remove the trim.I'm not sure how to fix
Answers
A:Â
You should be able to pop the trim right back off by pushing up on the top or pushing down on the bottom, while pulling it towards you at the same time. I did the same thing, but was able to pop the trim right back off and close the door.A:Â
You have to make sure the door is open halfway when you put the trim piece on. That makes it so that the "lip" on the cover slide does not get trapped behind the trim piece...hope that helps.Details:Â
I know the picture shows this item in black but just wanted to make sure it is in deed black. My other question is does the door flip up or does it push back into the housing similar to how a rolltop desk would open?
Answers
A:Â
The door rolls back into the top like the old desk. It is almost all black. I would say the door looks more like a smoke gray color.A:Â
It is indeed black. The door flips up and into the housing/recessed area that you have this installed in. Yes similar to a roll top desk. I like this one because ones that I've owned in the past that flip out are very easy to break off. Especially if you've had a little to much fun on the river, if you know what I mean.A:Â
It's a black housing and a smoke colored lens - it flips up and has a catch to keep it up and a catch to keep it down.A:Â
It is black and the cover rolls (slides) into the hosing unit. When in the open position you will not see the front cover.A:Â
I have this same item, bought last summer. It is black and the door rolls up and back like a rolltop desk.Answers

Iit does have a shelf protruding back out of the bottom that will support your stereo. I took the metal outer mount supplied with the stereo and attached it to the shelf of the protective housing and then popped my radio right in. It looks and works great.A:Â
Its a faceplate just to keep water out of it if u submerge the radio and cover it will get wet all this is for is to guard it from splashed water.A:Â
It's not actually Water Proof, but more water resistant, if you dumped a bucket of water on it, I'm sure some would get in, but our has held up fine against rain. It is a faceplate with a small amount of flat internal housing on the bottom that supports the radio, but it is not an entire enclosed box for the radio to slip into.1 of 1
