Attwood® Quasar™ Bi-Color Bow Light is made of non-corrosive, high-impact plastic. Compact size is only 1-7/16" high and provides 225° visibility. Uses standard 8-watt bulb and stainless steel 1/4" quick-connect electrical contacts. Waterproof lens with O-ring prevents condensation. 3" diameter. 12V DC.
This wouldn't be a bad light except for one thing: there is a large plastic fitting extending out of the bottom that requires a large (probably over 1 inch diameter) hole be drilled in the deck immediately below the light. Why they would do this on a light meant to fit flush on the deck is beyond me and just creates a large hole which must be sealed to prevent water from going below decks. A 1/8 inch hole for the 2 16 gauge wires would have been plenty. Price is pretty good, but poor design outweighs that.

Quasar Bi-Color Bow Light
Liked the fact that the light housing was black, since it was replacing a chrome model on the bow of my duck boat.
Unit is built sturdy enough, but could of used longer wire leads for electrical hook-up.
And....for the price that they charge for their unit, you'd think that they could at least supply the (3) #8 or #10 mounting screws required for mounting.

I purchased this to replace the old chrome style light that was on my boat and only did the light work great it also made the boat look more modern.

Normally, these just are just bolted on where you want them. You can wire it into your boats 12V system. I have a small fishing boat, and I just ran wire from front to back on mine, and hooked it all up to a small 12V battery that I use for my deer feeders.
