Easy to assemble when received. Lightweight aluminum frame. Nice straps to secure to cart. Frame coated with a alum coating. Mine was received very scratched up. Very practical cart. Just not shiny and new looking when I took it out of the box.

I've had this cart for 1.5 years and used it on several trips. Not as good in sugar sand as I'd like.
question 1: why would you want pneumatic tires on a kayak cart? (maybe smoother rides at highway speed)
question 2: why wouldn't you use standard sized axles for the wheels so they can be changed out when the pneumatic tires puncture? and they will eventually.
both tires have developed leaks, can't replace original tires with puncture proof tires because the axles are too big by about 1/8 inch.
The cart works well and I was able to finally substitute a tube made for a slightly larger tire, but a small thought about tire repair or replacement would make this a more useful cart. Solid tires or foam filled tires would have been better.

Needed to replace both tires; could not fully inflate original tires without them slipping off rims (off-center, wobbly, unusable). Replacement tires worked fine, since they came fully inflated.

I am overweight, handicapped, with ziggy nail in left leg (Titanium bar replacing femur, attached to hip) so moving around is a bear of a chore. This contraption is allowing me to manuever my canoe from van, to water. (using the suggested adaptaions) i.e. rubber strap, and zip ties. by myself, allowing me to exercise upper body.

I think so but you'd need to use a tie-down strap to secure the canoe and cart together. It would be top heavy and over uneven ground, I'd expect it to turn over easily.A:Â
yes thats what I have.A:Â
Yes, this is also a Canoe Cart. ThanksAnswers

Probably one if you center it.A:Â
You will need 1 cart per kayak. Also, 1 person can move the kayak once on the cart.Details:Â

It might be too big to put in a hatch. Might fit in the seat opening.A:Â

In my Ascend FS12T, I can remove the wheels and fold up and stick it in the rear hold (where a crate could go). I don't use a crate, so I typically put the cart there when I hit the water. I haven't tried the front hatch, but it looks like it would be an awkward fit.A:Â
Yes, they do. At least in an Ocean Kayak scrambler 12A:Â
Yes. The wheels are 10-inches in diameter and are secured with a spring loaded clevis pin. Removal and installation is easy and they should fit in most kayak hatches. You have to be careful when removing and installing the clevis pins, however, as they can easily slip from your fingers when the spring is compressed and get launched several feet. It would probably be a good idea to perform this function away from the water.

This item will hold a 100lb load.A:Â
Manufacturer's literature states that it will hold 80 lbs.Top 25 Contributor

The manufacturers website says it "Holds up to a 100 lb. load". Although the picture looks a little different, it has the same part# 11920-4A:Â
I hauled our tandem kayak about 70 lbs with 2 coolers filled up on it probably another 25-30 lbs no problem. You might add an extra bungee strap if it is really heavy.1 of 1
