When the base unit is fully screwed down, it is very difficult to get the ring into place...often I will ask whoever is sitting nearest to bumper location to attach the bag as we are pulling in to a dock, it was always difficult and often would have to do it myself. Perko makes a better fender lock that is now on my boat.

I bought a new fish and ski boat that does not have any rails on it to secure a fender to. I bought three of these kits. I mounted one pair a couple of foot in fronnt of the stern, one pair amidships, and a pair a couple of feet bejind the bow. They work great. They are easily removable if needed, but I have not accidently had one come off. Good product at the right price!

I wouldn’t, they are made from a light material and are simple screwed into any location. The cleats on your boat are reinforced and made to withstand the pulling that occurs from the huge wakes from the new wakeboard boats.Answers
