Great Light I bought this light to replace a Perko light that I has lost the globe for. The pins in the Perko base fit this light correctly but the black that secures the light to the base wasn't threaded as the perko one was. I just switched the cowlings out and I had a great working light. May 17, 2010
right product fast The product i ordered was shipped and recieved in a very timely fasion. It worked just the way it should have & filled my needs perfectly. I would recomend Bass Pro Shops online service to everyone who needs quality gear quick! May 12, 2011
Boat Light Worked great ... very bright ... I might go to a longer pole next time ... I used the 36" for a 17' boat. Thanks, Darren May 4, 2010
Great Light This light plugged right into my 1980 base. This saved me the trouble and expense of changing the base. December 20, 2010

Not sure what you have but if it is a 2-pin then it should fit your boat.

A:
No, the collar is not threaded. I also had a perko base. I took the collar off my old light and switched it out with the one that came with this one. The pins match up fine.

A:
Visibility is the most important thing, I would want a light that is easily visible from all directions. I would say the light would need to extend a foot or so above the tallest thing in your boat, i.e. motor, seats or yourself.

If its a john boat the light must clear the motor to be visible 360 degrees.
