The Attwood Flush Mount Base mounts to the gunwale or deck. Easy-open cover conceals fasteners, and an elastomeric liner seals out water. When closed, the low-profile, contoured design avoids snagging line. Base provides 360° lift-and-turn horizontal adjustment and fail-safe retention. The locking keyway prevents removal of a rod holder until it’s turned directly inboard. Quantity: One base.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Big improvment Installed one of these on my kayak last week and it looks great and I like the low profile or my rod holder much better. I used a little gasket sealer just for the heck of it. I did not get any water in my hull. I think we are going to get along just fine. November 27, 2012
