Ideal for an anchor rope, tying up in slips, at docks, to stick-ups and lowering boats into the water from trailer! Can be ideally located on port and starboard gunwales. 32' of 1/4" braided nylon anchor line is on a spring-loaded spool concealed inside a plastic housing and mounted under the gunwale with only the Perma-Plated® Zamak handle and stainless steel rope ring exposed for easy access. Patented locking device firmly grips rope when handle is tightened without cutting or fraying. 6" x 7-3/4".

Rated 2 out of 5 by Anchor Rein I bought 4 of them last spring to replace the ones that were on a used boat I bought. 3 of them had to be returned because they would not lock down on the rope. I reinistalled them again following EXACT OEI instructions. 3 would still not work. Returned them to Bass Pro they shipped me new ones. This time one of them did not have all the parts in the box. Bass Pro to me to call Attwood I did and got the part. 2 of the 3 worked 1 of them did not. I just returned 1 of them now Bass Pro is out of stock and boat is going to storage. It is sad when you have to get 8 of them to have 3 work. I am waiting on the other one probably next spring. When they Iwork I LOVE THEM!!! November 21, 2012

Recommend a 12 lbs anchor. Depending on how large your boat is you could possibly get away with a larger anchor if you found a way to distribute the weight. The Anchor Rein was designed more for a cleaner/more efficient way to store your anchor line in your boat. Thanks
