Rated 4 out of 5 by backcountryboarder Awesome addition
Put this on my Jon boat to ease that noon time AZ sun @ 110+ degrees. Although the boat is only 50 inches wide, the top mounted easily and looks to cover 2/3 of the boat. Straps may cause some loss of fishing area, but beats the sunburn and/or stop fishing altogether to find shade.
Wish the the hardware was metal, as the top is solid mounted with plastic?

I like the quality of the materials. The poles are strong and sturdy and the material used for the top seems very durable. The connectors are made of strong plastic; I wish the connectors to the boat were metal. I'm sure metal ones can be found at the hardware store. The instructions were misleading in many ways. They showed the top in the wrong direction (where you stick in the poles) and mislead on some of the screw positions. Overall it was easy to assemble (easier if you don’t use the instructions). I bought the up to 73" top, my boat is 63.5" wide. When assembled the poles are 76" apart, you need to connect one side then push in (on the down pole) to connect the other side. It is very easy to do this but the instructions should state that otherwise you may not think it will fit when it does. I also installed mine backwards (folds down forward) since I sit by my motor in the back. I have a 14' tracker super guide and it covers the sitting area and folds right to the platform on the bow, perfect fit. This is a very good product for the money and easy to install. I would recommend for any boat 12-16'.

Excellent design for a Jon Boat. Works perfect, easy to install, will lay flat to haul boat to where you fish, highly recommended. It keeps you cool on a hot sunny day. If you are thinking about it, get it, you wont be disappointed. I should have had this long ago.

This Item is made well and looks good although when I put it togrther it was twisted because it was not lined up properly when the holes were drilled at the factory. I will email atwood and see what they have to say.

You will need to measure to fit the right fit for your boat:How to Measure for Your Bimini Top:
Length - Measure the length of the area you want to shade. (Caution: leave enough length behind and in front of the bimini top to secure attachment straps).
Width - Find the pivot where the bimini frame mounting hardware will be mounted on the sides of the boat. This will be the center of the bimini length. Determine top width by measuring the distance between the mounting point on one side of the boat to the same location on the opposite side of the boat. This measurement is not the same as the actual beam of the boat. The frame can be mounted to a flat horizontal surface, or a rail.
Height - Standing in the boat, measure straight up from the mounting point to decide which height suits your needs. Consider how height will affect your movements, stability of the top, and whether the frame will hang over the back or front of the boat when folded down.

I put it on a 50" and I would not bow it any more w/o modification. It would take some trimming of the center bow & drilling new screw holes to shorten it up.Answers

Yes, especially if you installed a slider kit.1 of 1
