Our Ascend kayaks are so popular, we can hardly keep them in stock! And now, the FS10, our feature-packed kayak designed for serious anglers, has been enhanced in multiple ways to make it an even better value. It starts with an advanced hull design that utilizes an extended keel with performance rocker and strakes to deliver the superior maneuverability, tracking, stability, and easy paddling when you want to get to that special spot quickly. The large open cockpit offers easy entry and exit at the shore with little restriction of movement while casting and retrieving considering the 31" width. The improved DLX removable seating system allows for all day comfort on the water or allows easy removal of the comfortable padded steel-frame seat for a quick rest ashore. The screw out deck plate with integrated weathertight storage keeps smaller items high and dry. Dual flush mount rod holders make transporting rod and reel combos easy, while the fully adjustable, light tackle rod tender holds your rod while fishing with 360º of horizontal adjustment and vertical rod tip adjustment. Two 4'' cleats provide an easy anchor for a minnow bucket or fish stringer. Dual bungee paddle keepers hold your paddle securely while fishing. Bungees over the built-in multipurpose sternwell and bow help lock down your fishing gear while moving from spot to spot. Deep molded dual cup holders and two large catch all trays in the cockpit make it easier to keep the gear you use often close at hand. The threaded and sealed drain plug allows you to quickly drain excess water. Molded-over rubber grip handles at the front and rear make carrying the FS10 easier. This is the first kayak I've owned. I did a ton of research before choosing the FS10, and I am confident I made the right choice. So far I've only used it on the Charles River twice in the past two days, but it definitely meets all my criteria and needs even better than I had expected. It's light enough for me to carry to and from the water and put on top of my car by myself, it has a ton of storage, and it is really really stable in the water. I guess it might be slower than other yaks, but I was able to get going at a pretty good clip with a little hard paddling. It tracks straight (as far as I can tell), and is just an overall fun boat to have. Really looking forward to getting out on more lakes and ponds with it.

Watch my YouTube video. Recently, after several years of absence, I got back into fishing. What made me get back into fishing was Ugly Stik's GX2 fishing pole. It came out late 2013. So I went to Bass Pro Shops to buy the pole then, BOOM! That's when I saw the Ascend FS10. It was love at first sight. After a couple of months I finally baught it. I've used it numerous times in lakes and ocean. It handles very well. I've gotten compliments of the kayak from other kayakers. It has all the storage I need. I really like its big entry access, which makes it easy to get in and out. The FS10 works as described. The paint schemes are also cool. All three rod holders work well. In water with some good sized waves it handled well. I recommend this kayak to the beginner to the expert. So get your favorite rod and reel combo and your choice of tackle and hop into an Ascend FS10.

i have been really getting more into my fishing over the past 2 years so i thought i would step my game up a little with a kayak. it was probably the greatest thing i could do. no more just fishing from shore. i can get to any little spot i want in this thing. it glides through the water like butter and is extremely comfortable. it can fit me and my 24lbs of fishing tackle with ease. it's also very lightweight and easy to carry. i have already been on a few choppy lakes with heavy traffic and i felt no sense of danger being tipped over. it is very stable. i don't have any thing bad to say about this kayak. it's just that great. and the best thing is that it is made in the USA!

My wife and I purchased the Fs 10 and D10 in early september and have been on the water every available day we can get there in them. These kayaks are well built and very stable. They track well and the seat is by far the best on the market. I reviewed every kayak on the market and the seat was the selling point. These are our first kayaks but we really dont see us outgrowing them. We are regularly on lake mead in them and even the Colorado river. Anyone trying to decide between the Old Town and the Ascend, make the smart choice and go with the Ascend.
