Our Ascend kayaks are so popular, we can hardly keep them in stock! And now, the FS10, our feature-packed kayak designed for serious anglers, has been enhanced in multiple ways to make it an even better value. It starts with an advanced hull design that utilizes an extended keel with performance rocker and strakes to deliver the superior maneuverability, tracking, stability, and easy paddling when you want to get to that special spot quickly. The large open cockpit offers easy entry and exit at the shore with little restriction of movement while casting and retrieving considering the 31" width. The improved DLX removable seating system allows for all day comfort on the water or allows easy removal of the comfortable padded steel-frame seat for a quick rest ashore. The screw out deck plate with integrated weathertight storage keeps smaller items high and dry. Dual flush mount rod holders make transporting rod and reel combos easy, while the fully adjustable, light tackle rod tender holds your rod while fishing with 360º of horizontal adjustment and vertical rod tip adjustment. Two 4'' cleats provide an easy anchor for a minnow bucket or fish stringer. Dual bungee paddle keepers hold your paddle securely while fishing. Bungees over the built-in multipurpose sternwell and bow help lock down your fishing gear while moving from spot to spot. Deep molded dual cup holders and two large catch all trays in the cockpit make it easier to keep the gear you use often close at hand. The threaded and sealed drain plug allows you to quickly drain excess water. Molded-over rubber grip handles at the front and rear make carrying the FS10 easier. In the short time I've had this yak it has made a great impression on me. It handles well in both the lake and river I've tried it in. Looks great and has lots of features. You've just got to watch putting too much stress on the top or bottom during storage or transport, it has a tendency to warp but will pop back out. My 13 year old loves it so much we may have to get him a yak too.

The Ascend Fs10 Angler is the 4x4 of Kayaks!
I have had it on the French Broad. The French Broad has class I to class IV rapids near where I put in. I am not disappointed in it's stability on such a large river. I am able to keep a good line up stream through some fairly fast water. I paddle up stream for miles and drift comfortably back down while catching smallies! It handles well and paddles with ease. If you are considering a kayak for river fishing, do not let the label kayak hinder you from buying this one. It is very stable I assure you. If you are worried about roll overs, the stability of the FS10 will make you very comfortable. Getting in and out takes seconds and it allows me get to and walk up shoals I have always wanted to fish.
I do a lot of back country back packing and camping. The FS10 has all the extra space I need to load camping gear for adventures on the river and lake.
I love it so much, I am sitting in it writing my review. If your wife has jealousy issues this is not the Kayak for you. Being a one person Kayak it will require a commitment for solitude, independence, peace, and great fishing. Unless she makes you buy one for her, after she sees the difference it makes in you!

My first ever kayak. LOVE IT. My only one complaint is the two rear rod holders should be aimed straight back NOT off the the sides. If you fly fish with rods in those holders, you WILL snag them while back casting. Also makes narrow creek runs a REAL PAIN. I am 50years old with a bad shoulder and I can paddle this thing all day with no problems. I can load it on my jeep with little effort. The seat is comfortable enough. I was in it for over 7 hrs today alone. Do yourself a favor if you buy this kayak. BUY A 240cm PADDLE!!!!!!! The 230cm is just not long enough.

Im 63 and I'm downsizing my fishing ways! sell larger bass boat and going to this kayak. First time in one and its wonderfull! I way 206lbs and not a problem, cant stand up in it but the seat and room I have for my feet and but is great. They really put the money in the seat, very comfortable and relaxing. I'm adding a trolling motor to it when I figure it out but dont see any problem. I have to learn to take only 3 rods with me instead of 10 but I dont have to bend over to get my fish off!
