Our Ascend kayaks are so popular, we can hardly keep them in stock! And now, the FS10, our feature-packed kayak designed for serious anglers, has been enhanced in multiple ways to make it an even better value. It starts with an advanced hull design that utilizes an extended keel with performance rocker and strakes to deliver the superior maneuverability, tracking, stability, and easy paddling when you want to get to that special spot quickly. The large open cockpit offers easy entry and exit at the shore with little restriction of movement while casting and retrieving considering the 31" width. The improved DLX removable seating system allows for all day comfort on the water or allows easy removal of the comfortable padded steel-frame seat for a quick rest ashore. The screw out deck plate with integrated weathertight storage keeps smaller items high and dry. Dual flush mount rod holders make transporting rod and reel combos easy, while the fully adjustable, light tackle rod tender holds your rod while fishing with 360º of horizontal adjustment and vertical rod tip adjustment. Two 4'' cleats provide an easy anchor for a minnow bucket or fish stringer. Dual bungee paddle keepers hold your paddle securely while fishing. Bungees over the built-in multipurpose sternwell and bow help lock down your fishing gear while moving from spot to spot. Deep molded dual cup holders and two large catch all trays in the cockpit make it easier to keep the gear you use often close at hand. The threaded and sealed drain plug allows you to quickly drain excess water. Molded-over rubber grip handles at the front and rear make carrying the FS10 easier. After months of research looking at kayak after kayak I still came back to the Ascend fs10. The other kayaks I looked at were double and triple the price of the Ascend fs10. They were not as well made as the fs10 but are getting 2 to 3 times the price, all I can say is the people who purchased those other kayaks at double and triple price did not do their homework and I am laughing all the way to the bank. I was looking at this kayak on the B.P.S. web site almost everyday drooling over it. Well last night I took a 2 hour road trip just to see it. The people at the Utica, NY B.P.S. were so helpful Diane was very helpful answering all my questions and Jim was awesome in the boat dept. I fell in love at first sight with this kayak and just could not go home without it, so I bought that kayak. I am so happy now I can say I got it, I got it, I got it !! Now as for performance The kayak tracks very straight and I was pleasantly pleased with that. It is very roomy as I am 5' 10'' tall and weigh 250 lbs. This fs10 is very stable and I felt very comfortable as I am very new to the kayaking kingdom. This thing has a bunch of room to store a lot of stuff in the back, up in the front, behind the nice seat did I mention the seat? almost forgot I have a serious back problem I have had 3 spinal fusions, but the seat is very comfortable and had no problem at all with my legs and back. My only complaint is the fish were not biting. All in all you will not be disappointed with the Ascend fs10.

Super comfortable seat and nice open cockpit area gives you plenty of range of motion to cast wherever. Has plenty of room for my 2 tackle bags and the 2 rod holders along with the tender up front is perfect for the 3 rods that I take with me. Not the fastest kayak but tracks well enough and will turn on a dime.

by riverhopper awesome lil boat
Have taken this boat out 3 times. So far no flaws at all with the boat. Very stable and easy to fish out of. It takes punishment from the rocks of the river bed with no issue yet.

This is the first kayak I've owned. I did a ton of research before choosing the FS10, and I am confident I made the right choice. So far I've only used it on the Charles River twice in the past two days, but it definitely meets all my criteria and needs even better than I had expected. It's light enough for me to carry to and from the water and put on top of my car by myself, it has a ton of storage, and it is really really stable in the water. I guess it might be slower than other yaks, but I was able to get going at a pretty good clip with a little hard paddling. It tracks straight (as far as I can tell), and is just an overall fun boat to have. Really looking forward to getting out on more lakes and ponds with it.
