Our Ascend kayaks are so popular, we can hardly keep them in stock! And now, the FS10, our feature-packed kayak designed for serious anglers, has been enhanced in multiple ways to make it an even better value. It starts with an advanced hull design that utilizes an extended keel with performance rocker and strakes to deliver the superior maneuverability, tracking, stability, and easy paddling when you want to get to that special spot quickly. The large open cockpit offers easy entry and exit at the shore with little restriction of movement while casting and retrieving considering the 31" width. The improved DLX removable seating system allows for all day comfort on the water or allows easy removal of the comfortable padded steel-frame seat for a quick rest ashore. The screw out deck plate with integrated weathertight storage keeps smaller items high and dry. Dual flush mount rod holders make transporting rod and reel combos easy, while the fully adjustable, light tackle rod tender holds your rod while fishing with 360º of horizontal adjustment and vertical rod tip adjustment. Two 4'' cleats provide an easy anchor for a minnow bucket or fish stringer. Dual bungee paddle keepers hold your paddle securely while fishing. Bungees over the built-in multipurpose sternwell and bow help lock down your fishing gear while moving from spot to spot. Deep molded dual cup holders and two large catch all trays in the cockpit make it easier to keep the gear you use often close at hand. The threaded and sealed drain plug allows you to quickly drain excess water. Molded-over rubber grip handles at the front and rear make carrying the FS10 easier. 1st kayak ever awesome. I am 5'6" 230 lbs. Mine is the 1st generation that bass pro had available. Cockpit is easy to get in and out of and plenty of room to stretch legs. Easy to paddle and pretty stable. 1st trip was a little over 13 miles and little over 6 hours of paddle, two short and one 20 minute lunch break. Only complaint drink holders should be deeper, little more cushion on seat and a small dry storage for personal stuff, cell, wallet and keys, also better side padding.

Very stable with plenty of room. Seat could use a bit more padding for long day trips, but acceptable as is. Tracks excellent, moves through the water well. Handles rough waters well on the lakes. Could be a bit lighter. Love this yak!! This is my second yak and the best by far. I hunt ducks from this easily, fish easily and it's super mobile and quick. Great kayak for the money.

I had a hard time choosing between this and the FS12T. I'm glad I went with this one, I stay nice and dry (and warm!). It's very stable, not stand-up stable, but comfortable fishing all day without panicking all the time about rolling over.
Pros: Light weight, can lift and manage myself, tracks ok for a 10 footer, can easily reach all rod tenders and storage areas, holds up well as I am pretty close to the weight limit including gear.
Cons: Lack of dry storage, seat is a little uncomfortable for my big keister. It places your weight on your tailbone.
I will buying another, however I will be going with the FS12 and make this my 'guest' kayak. I like the seat in the 12 much more.

by herschel It has the potential to be what you’re looking for
I bought my FS-10's about a year ago. When I first seen the FS-10's I knew this yak had everything I was looking for and the potential for more. It’s very stable, the cock is easy to get in and out of even with a mid size tackle bag between your legs. The paddle holder’s across the cock pit gives me the freedom to do other thing than worry about my paddle. The two rod holders behind the seat are easy to reach. The 3” cleats on each side of the seat are great for hanging a fish basket or stinger form. I have added accessorize, to my FS-10's they are. An anchor, I added 4” cleats to the front of the cock pit, 8''Pop Out Deck Plate with a dry bag tacked to the front, 4'' Kayak Screw Out Deck Plate to the rear makes an easy excess to retrieve items behind the compartment, I have a Zebco-ZF200-Portable-Fish-Finder that fits perfect in any of the two trays, I use one of the cup holders to set the worm cup in, I cute a piece of Plexiglas to fit in the back compartment to make storage under it, I placed a milk crate on top of the Plexiglas where I cable tied 1-1/4 pvc pipe for two added rod holders, I place a bucket with aerator for a live well in the crate, and I made a sail to puss me around. I carry a lot of fishing equipment and I weigh 200+ pounds and it still sit high in the water. I fish with 9-jugs that I made out of 1-1/4 inch pvc pipe, three trout lines and ten pound window weights for each line. There’s room behind the seat for a soft sided cooler. I have seen how other fishermen have accessorize their yaks to fit their needs, When you’re looking for a yak keep the FS-10 at the top of your list, It has the potential to be what you’re looking for just use your imagination. This is a great yak for the price my bother liked mine and he bought one to.
