Built tough and strong, the Ascend DX3000 Extreme Daypack gives you the size and load-hauling ability needed for overnight treks or all-day hikes. Built to handle big loads in its 3000 cubic inches of space, the DX3000's PE board and aluminum stay bar provides great support behind the padded back panel with airmesh pods and work with the contoured and padded shoulder straps with sternum strap for easier hauling. The dual panel-loading main compartments feature internal zip-out mesh compartment dividers to organize gear and compression flaps to hold gear in place. Internal mesh pockets offer organization help for smaller gear. Zippered front pocket features an organizer panel. Dual side compression straps and bottom compression straps helps lock gear in place for smooth hauling. Waist belt for smoother trekking. Pack also features dual side water bottle pockets (bottles not included), daisy chain webbing, ice ax loop, and hydration compatibility (bladder not included). Durable pack is made of 600D polyester, 420D nylon, and 1680D ballistic nylon with reinforced stress areas. Color: Green/Gray. Dimensions: 22'' x 14'' x 11''. Rated 5 out of 5 by very comfortable Had another similiar pack by Jansport but returned it because of comfort. Used pack on 3 day backpacking trip. A total of 28 miles roundtrip. Large enough to carry 38 pounds of gear and food. Shoulder and hip straps felt secure and snug. Straps have nice thick padding. Pads did not bite into shoulders like other tend to do. Tent or sleeping pad can be strap to the bottom of pack to save room for the rest of your gear. Well worth the money for a quality pack. Never have used Ascend brand before but now I'm sold. Rated 4 out of 5 Great Back Comparable to the More Expensive I have owned this pack for a year. When i decided to purchase the pack, I was looking for something that would be multi-function. I needed something small enough to use for commuting on my bicycle, yet large enough to use for the weekend excursion. The pack took on a new form when i started using it while training for the Army. I have loaded this pack with 10 lbs. and 80lbs. I've also loaded it with every weight in between. Sandbags, sleeping bags, fishing poles, water containers, and every other thing, you could possibly need in the already mentioned uses. There are many pockets and the ease of accessing the main compartment via the second section has been a life saver on more than one occasion. A bedroll can be strapped on the bottom and with a little ingenuity, a sleeping bag can be strapped to the top. The shoulder straps are very comfortable and I have noticed no pressure points or hot spots while using the pack. This pack has seen close to a thousand miles of commuting and hundreds of miles hiking, rucking, and backpacking. Its been sandy and wet and it still has not discolored. The stitching is still as sound as the day i bought it even after hauling two sandbags, totaling 70 lbs, for 8-12 mile ruck marches, on dozens of occasions. I've biked, jogged, run, and walked with it. I see no reason to pay twice the amount for a "name brand" pack. I have tried to research this company and can not find anything on it. If the rest of their products are as a good as this pack, I'M SOLD ON ASCEND! You will get back every penny you spend on this pack, just because of how long it will last. The only complaint that I have is that there is not sufficient venting for the wearers' back. Honestly, it's not a deal breaker. If you want a hard-working pack so that you can work hard, this is a fantastic deal. I wish more products were as high of quality as this pack. Keep products like this coming off your production lines, and I'll keep telling everyone to buy them. February 24, 2012

Any camelback style bladder is compatible with this pack. So long as it has a bladder (I've managed to fit my 4L in there tightly, 2L fits with ease) and a loop for the velcro strap, it'll go.

Yes, this pack is hydration compatibility (bladder not included). You should be able to use any brand, example item number 38-871-844-00 RedHead® 2L Hydration Bladder. Thanks
