Rated 5 out of 5 by Johnathan13 Great boat for all types of fishing.
I purchased this boat about a week ago and I have been nothing but satisfied. Starting with the features, the dry storage works great and that rear cargo and tackle are perfect for holding my tackle and anchor. The front provides a large space for anything really. This kayak is very stable and seems to glide effortlessly over the water. Since its very easy to paddle it makes it that much for stealthy when approaching fish in shallow water. I can very easily stand up and fish from this kayak with confidence and not worry about toppling over. It is very light weight which makes transportation a breeze; and at 10 foot long it is very easy to maneuver in small places. From the biggest lakes to narrow swift rivers, from largemouth to spots, this yak gets the job done. Very Satisfied.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Tim1960 Great boat
We kayak alot. We have several kayaks, some top of the line that cost three times as much. This boat seems just as good. It is solid and well built. STABLE as a a rock. I got this one for my wife to go off shore with me fishing, (calm days) but I think I will end up with one for myself for the creeks to. This is a great boat. Get you one, you will be happy with it,.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Gurney Great Kayak, Bad Seat Design
This is by far the best $400 Kayak you will get anywhere! I weigh 225 pounds and am 6'"1 tall and it is great for me and roomy too. The only thing is the seat slides around and is uncomfortable. I will be getting a different seat to put in this Yak. It all depends on what your looking for in a Yak feature wise, but if you are just starting out, or want a nice extra Yak if you have a more expensive one with all the features than this is a great one. You will not be disappointed as Ascends are very nice and great for the cost!

Rated 4 out of 5 by DEasy Great Yak
Bought this yak two weeks ago for fishing. My buddy and I are new to the Kayak game so we just needed something easy to handle and stable. This yak serves both purposes. Can haul two stacked together easily in my Crew Cab GMC Canyon (5 1/2 foot bed) with the tailgate down and a few straps. Yak is not to heavy, I can move and load it myself if need be.
The only drawback I can find is in the seat. When you put any weight whatsoever on the back of the seat, the bottom slides out from underneath you, which causes you to put more pressure on the foot pegs to hold yourself upright in the seat. After day 1 i was incredibly sore from sitting in it, so I installed two metal snaps to the bottom of the seat and two to the kayak to hold the seat in place, and it is now much more comfortable.
Overall a great boat for a beginner, much more stable than other kayaks I have attempted to fish from in the past and serves my purposes to perfection.
