The D10T comes with two Scupper Plugs for the seat pan area for winter paddling or rough water days. Rated 5 out of 5 by Fishyaker Great for fishing
I've owned this kayak for about three months and would recommend it. It is lite enough to carry by oneself. It has lots of space for gear in fact I just got back from a camp trip and carried about 75lbs extra with. My kayak was slower than the others on the trip but very stable. Im 6'4" weigh 230 and have more than enough room. I customized mine with an anchor trolley a fish rodholder and actually use a marine seat that is very comfortable on fish trips. The seat that came with not good and will slide flat and keep you wet. If you can't afford a boat to get you to the fish, this is a great alternative.

I have been a kayaker for about 10 years. I love the water and being close to it is very fulfilling. I have an Old Town Rush which is a great flat water and camping kayak. Unfortunately not a great ocean kayak as I found out a year ago when I went to the Florida Keys. I went out in a mild surf and sunk. I was visited by a 50 year old women who crisply told me that I did not have an ocean kayak. This kayak is perfect for my limited ocean excursion off Boca Raton. Trust me it it not a great speed boat but handles open water well. My partner who rides with me trusts it more than I would ever thought. For fun and fishing when you have time this is a great value. I have easily adapted it with a rod holder, fish finder, seat holder and anchor system without problems.

I purchased this 10ft kayak from my local Bass Pro shop. I am pleased with the product, the only downside is the seat. The seat slides and after a few hours on the lake you begin to wish you purchased another seat. I like the stability, the kayak has a flat bottom and you are able to stand up if you like. Make sure you keep your balance, I have yet to catch a bass while standing so I cant say how stable the kayak will be. Overall the kayak is a great buy. Lots of room for storage; in the front, both sides, and in the back of the kayak. I would recommend this kayak to a friend.

This is my 5 th kayak, 2nd Ascend. This kayak is loose enough to use in a small swift stream, yet stable enough for my 5'11. 240 lbs to comfortably stand and fish. It isn't made to track well with a crosswind or to tour big water with, but if you added a rudder it would track great. It is well suited for smaller water and shorter trips less than 5 miles round trip IMO.
The kayak is well made, but not as well finished as my Cobra or Malibu. It is designed to have a clean deck, and can be fly fished from nicely. The paddler can enter and exit easily. The ride is fairly dry with the scupper plugs in.
The seat tends to slip as mentioned in other reviews, but is easy to fix. The seat itself is fairly comfortable, of average quality. There is a good amount of seat cushion.
Paddles well with a 240 cm paddle. The molded paddle groove on the starboard side is well thought out. The lack of side mounted handles is a bit inconvenient... Would've been smart to mold handles in at the side wells.
The side wells actually are a nice place to stage a rod, and have lots of other uses. I would like to see an aluminum framed seat that could be placed into the side wells to elevate the paddler. This would really make the boat more functional for fishermen.
This yak has very little in the way of accesories/holes in the hull. That is a good thing folks...keep it simple and clean, add stuff if desired at the buyer's discretion.
Overall I would recommend the boat for the recreational kayaker who needs more stability and less tracking ability/speed, and for fishermen who want a simple clean durable small water boat with no frills.
