Rated 3 out of 5 by Good boots, but..... I purchased these boots while traveling in Nashville last week. I have Justin's, Nocona's and Dan Post boots, and thought I'd try the Ariat's based on a coworkers recommendation. The boots look great, the fit around the foot is solid, BUT, the loops at the top of the boot (for pulling the boots on) are very rough and literally rub raw spots on the side of my legs. This doesn't appear to be something that can be resolved through a normal "breaking in" process. I've never had this issue with another brand of boots. I'm going to bring up the issue with Ariat to see if they can help me resolve it. If not for this flaw, I'd gladly rank these a 4 or 5 star boot. November 30, 2012
