Good stuff All I can really say about this oil is that my reels all feel like they are still new except my Revos. I am very pleased with Ardent reel care products. If there is better out there I don't really care because Reel Butter exceeds all my expectations. January 21, 2011
A good product I am used to applying sewing machine oil through a syringe to my reel wear points, so I was somewhat skeptical of this applicator. It turns out that the applicator bottle is quite maneuverable and you can control the amount of oil applied. The oil has a low enough viscosity to distribute itself into bearings and wear surfaces yet not "run" everywhere. March 8, 2014
Just like butter I like my Shimano Symetre and Saros reels but hadn't lubed them since I got them two Christmases ago. Really don't fish but a few times a month for about 3 hours at a pop. But they both started sticking a bit during retrieves. Two drops and didn't have a single problem last time out. Reel Butter is a very appropriate name. July 21, 2011
Ardent reel butter this is great stuff. i really needed something to lube up my reel, as the bearings were as dry as they could be. put this on, took a couple of casts, and saw huge differences. there was no longer any sound, and my casting distance improved by at least 30 ft. i was amazed that this is all it took, but it is true. Good for bearings?

Details:
Is this good for the bearings on my reels, or should I get the ardent bearing lubricant as well? I figured this would work just fine but Im not totally sure.

I use it on my reels, and it works well! I haven't tried the bearing oil yet so can't say if it's better! But as far as the reel oil is, it works just fine, just use it very, very, very sparingly! A little goes a very long way!

A:
The Ardent bearing lubricant is designed more towards the bearings, however, any lubrication is good for the moving parts of your reel. Routine tune-ups and lubrication of your reels after trips will keep your reels working for years to come and keep headaches from happening when you are out on the water.
