I have been using Ardent reel butter products now for about four years! The reel butter grease works very well, but a you must use it sparingly! A little goes a long way. I find that it stays on the gears a lot longer, you need very little! Works great! Try it!

I have used this grease for about three years now. I consider my reels an investment and I protect my investments. This grease has given me the protection I expect. In fact it is better than expected. My reels work flawlessly and I owe that to this product. I also use the Ardent Reel Oil.

Because of the butter color of this grease you can visually see how much you are putting on at the time . I really appreciate this attribute because I'm a perfectionist and want to get it done right the first time. My reels are in excellant shape for the work I put them through. If there is better grease out there I don't care because this excedes all my expectations.

I use this grease on all my new bait casters and spinning reels.I've noticed improved performance and smoothness after applying the real butter grease.

I just take the tip of the grease tube put a little dab on the part I want to lube,and then spread it around with a fine brush.You can use a toothpick or a a cue tip if you like, but I find that a fine brush does the trick for me!You can find these brushes at any art supply store.Also depending on the part you want to lube, will determine the method used.

I don't think salt water should be able to get to the gears in your reel in the first place, if so, there is a leak that should be pluged! But this grease should protect your gears as long as they are covered in a thin coating of grease! What I do on my reels, I put a few drops of oil, on the shaft that holds the spool,with the spool off and give it a light coating, that helps stop the water from getting!Also, after each outing in salt water, I rince off my reels, rods, lures with fresh water, helps prolong the life of your equipment!1 of 1
