Ardent line butter actually does all that it says. However there is a down side that is the reason i couldn't give it 5 stars. it attracts dirt and stained my flourocarbon. so be careful when fishing stained to dirty water. so now i have to spend another $20 on floro. but in clear water it is excellent. major memory reduction and increased casting distance.

I tried Line Butter and am very satisfied. This is a great product if you are using in-line spinners on spinning rig. After several casts your line begins to loops, one shot of line butter every 24 cast takes the loops out. I use a small coffee stirrer tube jammed in to nozzel to better direct the spray on to my line, works like a champ.

do u spray on reel or just put on line and wipe offAnswers
A:Â
spray on reelA:Â
just spray it on your line the day before you go fishing. If you forget to put it on the night before at least let it sit for an hour.A:Â
best if you spray it on and let it fully dryTop 250 Contributor
A:Â
Spray it on your spool, then wait a few seconds for it to get down into the line. Next, cast a few times to sling the excess off. Finally, wipe down your reel's frame and handles as well as your rod's handle to keep from losing your grip on them. At the end of the day, I give each reel a little shot of Line Butter before I pull the cover over it and store it for next time, but I wouldn't recommend that unless you use reel covers, because this stuff is pretty oily, which will attract dust if left in the open.Answers

i use it just for my line. it doesn't say anything on the lebel about lures. try gulp spray. works great on soft plastics and jigs.A:Â
yes, this is basically the same as the kvd line conditionerTop 250 Contributor
A:Â
I haven't tried it that way, and don't know that I'd recommend it. If you need to juice a lure for some reason, spray a little fish attractant on it. That will usually reanimate a skirt or do whatever else you need it to.Details:Â
How does this product compare to KVD and Reel MAgic... does this product leave a powdery post use residue like KVD? Does it have an oily residue like RM?Answers
A:Â
i haven,t noticed any residue. however i have noticed a kind of graesy feel, but that lets me know that it does set in. a good product indeed.A:Â
no powdery residue if you let it dry the oi;y residue will dissapate...Top 250 Contributor
A:Â
It is rather oily upon the initial application, but I haven't experienced any type of residue after use. I haven't tried the KVD line conditioner, but I strongly prefer Line Butter to Real Magic. Besides not leaving any residue, Line Butter simply works better.Top 500 Contributor
A:Â
I cannot answer how it compares, but as for residue, I can't say I've had any. Even when it gets onto my reel when I spray it, a quick wipe off and it's clean as before. You can't tell the difference between this and the water when you feather the spool either. Invest in it, you'll love it.1 of 1
